Simply Endless Steps

Kris nodded, to him her voice was drifting away, his eye lids flickered as though he was about to fall into a deep sleep. His eyes opened to her cold hand covering them, he felt the difference between the real world and the illusions that she would take him to. He could no longer hear any birds, he found himself thanking Becca for that and sighing happily as though a weight had been lifted off him. He still felt slightly chirpy and different than usual but they were distant feelings burrowed inside of him. He stayed silent and allowed his mind to catch up with the surrounding situation.

Continuing to slowly fall into a trance of silent concentration, Becca's hand never once left Kris' eyes. Soon her illusion was in full effect, the area holding only the faint sound of the trees and grass billowing in the wind. Soon her hand escaped away from Kris' eyes as she felt her own eyes open. She smiled weakly, closing her eyes once more as she breathed out. She didn't know if she was still visable to Kris, her mind clouded and faintly fatigued from the illusion.

Kris was somewhat calmer than he was before he entered the illusion. He hadn't the foggiest of ideas as to why he had acted so out of character, and he wanted to know why. He stared up at the clear sky, not bothering to check for birds as he knew that Becca was not the sort to trap him with his fear. Are you ok Becca? You look drained? he asked, slightly concerned.

Slowly, Becca opened her eyes finding them locking with Kris'. She held her hands to herself as she nodded, looking timid for once. She let out a sigh and lay back on the grass, it unrealisticly soft to the touch...she couldn't care less. ...I think I'm tierd She muttered honestly, confused herself. She wasn't usually tierd, but there was a first time for everything. The illusion flicked only faintly as she curled up on the grass. Are you feeling more sane? She questioned.

A tired vampy? he questioned and checked her temperature, she was still ice cold as always. And yeh, more sane than before. he sighed. Kris bit his bottom lip and twitched. I can't remember last night. he admitted, as he tried to think back. By doing this, it caused his noise to bleed. GAH! he squealed at the sight of blood. I'm bleeding...I'M BLEEDING! he panicked. He shook his head, unable to look at his own blood, therefore closing his eyes.

Becca's brow twitched visably instantly. What..you got drunk? She questioned, faintly amused as she slowly looked towards the blood, her body stiffening faintly. She sighed and swatting his hand very softly as she sat up. Your an idiot you know? She grumbled, wiping at his nose with her sleeve, uncaring of the blood at that moment...
She slowly laughed. You know... She began, trying to distract herself from the blood. Maybe I should give sleeping ago...if it makes you none sleepy She chuckled and surpased a yawn which caused her to blink in shock. That was a new one.

I don't know whether I got drunk...I can't 'member he sighed and drew his attention on her yawn. His eyebrows rose and he tilted his head to the side. Gosh, are you ill? he asked, surprised at her strange behavior. Today was surely a weird day for the pair, one, he was suffering from memory loss and was quite crazy; two, Becca who was a vampire was tired and drained and three, Becca was not phased by the blood from Kris' nose, so it seemed.

Of course not! Becca snapped instantly, rolling her golden eyes in a mocking manner. She scoffed, dusting a strand of dark hair from her face as she huffed lightly, wiping the blood onto the grass, it not visable as he instantly blended with the colour. She sighed and looked slowly up at the sky once more, seeing the illusion flicker. ...Maybe...it's just a bad day She mused inwardly, chuckling very quietly. You know...I can't actually imagine you being drunk She pointed out, smirking lightly - it being gentle.

I was only asking. he whispered, shocked at her outburst. He felt butterflies form in his stomach, he desperately wanted to remember the previous night. He tried again, causing the blood to stream for the second time. His eyes flickered, his head pounding. I can't imagine myself drunk...I guess that is what makes it so hard for me to think back to last night. he signaled to his nose. Plus, I have never allowed alcohol to pass my lips, so why out of the blue would I suddenly do that? he wondered and pulled a puzzled expression.

Becca shrugged, once again tending to his nose, her touch gentle as she did so. She concentrated faintly, gaze clouded as she did so. There is a first time for everything She murmured softly as she wiped her sleeve once more on the ground, frowning as the illusion flickered once more. Maybe you should stop trying to think...your hurting yourself She couldn't help but start laughing at that statment, it sounding daft.

Her voice was too quiet to hear, and he blinked, attempting to try to think again. He suddenly stopped as she began to laugh, startled at her comment. HEY! he tried to whine, but he just ended up in a fit of giggles. Yehh thanks for that! And I think we should get back to reality... he paused, not wanting to go back to the high and happy Kris that he was outside of the illusion. Although he could see the flickers as it drained her. You need rest, and I need mine, because I am too highly spirited. he rolled his eyes. And maybe rest might do us both a world of good. he suggested and stared down at the trickles of blood that had stained his shirt. Blasted blood!

Becca found herself still laughing as she illusion flickered once more. Slowly she gazed at the blood once more, this time the illusion almost flickering to a complete stop. She grinned weakly. Relaxing...sounds good She admitted, her eyes closing very slowly just at the mention of it. And your just a hyperactive kid She muttered with a small chuckle as she lay back, this time landing with a thud as the illusion cut off instantly.

He bounced up. Let's go hooooome. he yelled and picked her up in his arms, carrying her back to school, his feet squelched as he began to walk. You know what Bextie? I am happy you are here. he smiled and skipped merely towards the school. Hmmmm? he stopped, her still in his arms, and looked up at the sky. I have been here before. he pondered and stayed still. He glanced around and pulled faces. I am sure I have?! he repeated.

Becca had yelped quietly as she felt herself get swept into his arms, her body petit in comparrison. She kept her eyes closed as she grumbled unconciously, hands covering her face. So have I...what's the big deal She whispered, feeling weaker. She ignored it and simply found herself becoming more comfortable in his arms.

No I have been here!! he clicked. In a dream! With you, and we were kissing! he blurted out. It was before we met though! Before I knew anything about you! he studied the surrounding area, rocking back and forth, unable to stop his excitement. He thought back, trying to retrace his dream footsteps. And we where standing here, under the sunlight. You were...are...so beautiful. he babbled.
